Creative Entrepreneurs
It's not just your craft. And it's not just your business. It is also your purpose and it helps define and distinguish you. I will help you reframe how you view your passion to make sure that your work is perceived as something necessary to your target market, not something that is just nice-to-have.
People already think you have Moxie; you're a creative! First, let's make sure you believe that yourself. You truly have the power to influence and impact people's lives in a positive way. We will refine how you think of your customers and you will craft your story on how your art, music, design, or whatever beautiful thing it is that you do, helps them be more of who they really are. Or more of who they want to be.

Creatives are the envy of so many in our society. From a distance, creatives seem so free, so uninhibited. Somehow less burdened by all that society expects of us. What they don't know is just how challenging it is to pursue your passion in a way that supports you, both financially and emotionally. You know that there is a level of judgment -- by others and by yourself -- that far exceeds the judgment upon most other professions. But what if you viewed your creative pursuits not just in terms of passion or skill, but in terms of what good it brings to those who enjoy the fruits of your labor? What if you viewed your art, your music, your (fill in your own blank) as a mission and you could instead be judged by how much benefit you bring to others? How might that change how you 'sell' to potential customers if you were not selling them a thing, but a lifestyle or a better version of themselves? Borrowing from the world of social entrepreneurship, your creative talent becomes a game-changer for people and communities.
The Power of Three
I am so lucky to have found two wonderful artists not long after I moved to Frederick. I joined a mixed media artists MeetUp called Art Sparks and have gained so much from the group. In addition to those monthly events, I also get together with the two co-leads each month in a mini-mastermind group. We ask each other questions. We give each other suggestions. We cut each other a break when that inner artist is being to hard on the outward artist. And we hold each other accountable for making serious progress on our creative dreams.
And it totally works! All three of us experienced tremendous movement and are rockin' it on our path to realizing those creative dreams. Each one of us needed the help to do that and we remain committed to each other's success.
If you need a partner to generate ideas, ask questions, support you, and hold you accountable, definitely seek that partnership. I can attest to the fact that it makes a world of difference. The C Suite is ready for bookings and I have vintage arts commitments scheduled over a year out! My partners in The Power of Three have shifted strategies, secured studio space, launched new lines, and are doing some serious community-building both through social media and good old-fashioned, in-person relationship-building. The world can't have enough creatives. I would love to be your partner in bringing more of what you do to more people.
