Why pay for training when data shows that training is only very minimally effctive? The vast majority of people, though well intentioned, never actually apply the learning. It may have been too much information too fast. Groups that were so large that you never really engaged. Sometimes you just don't kow how; the examples seem so simple but applying them to your own situation is a whole different thing. Or you simply don't get around to it becayse there are so many other things to do.
Why pay for coaching when you also need information? Coaching is about drawing insights and solutions out of your own psyche. It's about seeing things about yourself and yoru situation a bit more clearly so that you can make rational choices. Super helpful and vitally important to your long-term success. But what if you need a little guidance or expert advice? If your coach is doing that, then they really aren't coaching.

I can't count how many offsites I have been a part of. They always seem to be productive in that people leave feeling energized. But in most cases, that energy is quickly degraded by the day-to-day. What happens to all that insight and motivation? It is a bit of an art to design a retreat or workshop so that it generates enough energy to leave people feeling rejuvenated toward a goal but generates enough action to result in real progress.
Level 1: The Basics. I will work with you to frame the intent and desired outcome for the retreat or workshop (up to 2 calls). You will get a custom-designed session guide complete with (a) a participant workbook that includes everything from the agenda to to worksheets and (b) an expanded facilitator's view with all the directions and break-out instructions. And of course, I will provide the necessary facilitation in a way that moves the group along toward decisions and draft products, promotes self-generated solution design from participants, and allows for thoughtful changes in the agenda on the fly. Level 2: Action. In addition to everything above, I will interview up to 3 key stakeholders or participants in advance of the session to gain additional insight on what might be needed to ensure a successful session. After the session, I will provide you with a summary of your offsite experience and the key information that was captured during collaborative exercises. I will also provide you with an recommended action plan that you can use to craft your implementation. That plan will include my recommendations for expanding or adjusting the decisions made during the offsite. Level 3: Progress Surge. In addition to everything above, I will provide 6 months of follow-up on your most important action items. or the goal overall. You will receive periodic reminders as well as additional resources that will help you make follow-on decisions and frame additional actions. I will provide you with feedback and recommendations on any relevant product, such as a revised webpage, pitch deck or proposal, or description of a new service design.

Don't worry, solving those pesky issues is a walk in the park. Using a little brain science, some hard-core goal setting, a splash of Agile principles, basic posture & movement technique, and a few other approaches, we will get to work conquering your targeted milestones with a sense of urgency -- and fun. I actually guarantee results and a return on your investment. Seriously, this is not a sales pitch. I hate that. We will quite literally loosen you up. Step 4. Walk in the park! Baker Park is in our sights just about a hundred yards away. You can choose a short, moderate or long path. Sauntering, moderate, or brisk pace. You and me together; I can coach you along the way or be a silent partner. Just you; I can stay behind and let you have your space to think independently. Whatever works for that day. Step 5. Refresh. Take a minute to freshen up and get ready to work. We will capture all the revelations, ideas, and plans you just walked yourself into. Step 6. Then I help you make some decisions and take some action. Right then and there. Re-draft website content. Write a plan. Craft and send some important emails. Organize your electronic files.
